Please note that we have changed the date of the event to Monday, February 13th, at 12:00 PM EST!

Common Cause Maryland is working to ensure that all Marylanders can meaningfully observe and participate in their government, including the 90-day legislative session in Annapolis.

Join us on Monday, February 13th from 12:00pm - 1:00 pm EST for a special edition of our Citizens Activism Training, focusing largely on how to engage in the legislative process from where you are.

We understand that for many Marylanders, Annapolis is not easily accessible - but not being able to make it to the State Capitol doesn’t mean you can’t be involved in what’s happening in the legislature! This virtual training will provide an overview of the 90-day session, how to observe proceedings, and break down the hybrid process which provides the opportunity to testify either in-person or remotely (including specific committee protocols), empowering Marylanders to confidently participate in our state’s legislative process. The training will also be followed by an open Q&A and you can send us questions in advance using the registration form.

We hope you can join us on Monday, February 13th at 12pm EST. Please note that zoom information will be emailed to all registered attendees. The training will be recorded and made available for those unable to attend live. The training will also be streamed on Facebook. Questions, contact chunter@commoncause.org
