In honor of Sunshine Week, Common Cause MD is celebrating open government and Marylanders right to public information.

Join us this Thursday, March 16, at 1:00 pm for a virtual Maryland Public Information Act training.

Public Access Ombudsman, Lisa Kershner, and S. Spencer Dove, Administrator, will cover the basics of requesting government records and changes that have been made to the process now that the Equitable Access to Records Act (HB 183) is in effect.

You don’t want to miss this opportunity to learn how to request records in Maryland and the resources available through the office of the Ombudsman to assist you throughout the process. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the training. You are also encouraged to ask questions in advance using the registration form.
