Contact Sen. Coons now: Support democracy over the Jim Crow filibuster

Yesterday, Delaware’s own President Joe Biden came out for filibuster reform in a historic speech because he understands the urgency of passing the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, both of which are stuck in the Senate.

Sen. Carper has already stated publicly that he supports filibuster reform to pass the voting rights bills, but Sen. Coons has largely been silent!

Join us now in letting Sen. Coons know that it is critical that he join Pres. Biden in supporting democracy over the Jim Crow filibuster!

CALL SEN. COONS NOW AT (302) 573-6345. If his voicemail box is full, you can contact him at his other offices with the numbers on this page: https://www.coons.senate.gov/contact.

Here's an idea of what to say:

"Hello, my name is [YOUR NAME] and I live in [YOUR TOWN]. Right now I am worried about the freedom to vote in the United States because anti-voter extremists have already passed laws in 19 states, making it harder for Black and brown Americans to vote. I want to thank Sen. Coons for supporting the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, but we are counting on him to do more.

Yesterday, I was “Delaware proud” to hear President Joe Biden come out for filibuster reform to get those two bills passed, and I hope you will join him in choosing democracy over a Jim Crow relic. Please come out publicly for filibuster reform and do everything in your power to make sure those two bills get passed."
