LOG YOUR CALL: Extend Census deadlines!

Our democracy depends on facts and data -- and right now, it’s under threat. Unless the Senate extends the deadlines to complete the census, Georgians will pay the price -- for the next decade.
The 2020 Census Deadline Extensions Act will give the Census Bureau enough time to ensure a full and accurate count. If the Census were to stop today, Georgia would lose $500 million annually in healthcare funding for the most vulnerable Georgians.
Our senators must support the 2020 Census Deadline Extensions Act -- a bipartisan bill that would extend the Census deadline to October 31st. Call Senator Kelly Loeffler at (202) 224-3643 and Representative David Perdue at (202) 224-3521.
Here’s an idea of what to say: “My name is [YOUR NAME] and I live in [YOUR TOWN]. I believe that all Georgians should be counted in the 2020 Census, but for that to happen, we need to extend the Census enumeration deadline. I encourage you to support the 2020 Census Deadline Extensions Act, a bipartisan bill that would make sure Georgians get the resources we need.”
