LOG YOUR CALL: Westchester voting machines

Westchester County legislators are meeting this Thursday, July 30 to vote on a $4.5 million bond to buy dangerous and hackable ICE voting machines.

We need your voice to urge the Board of Legislators to VOTE NO on buying expensive, dangerous and hackable voting machines.

Call your County Legislator and tell them: “New ICE voting machines are dangerous, are not needed and we can’t afford them. VOTE NO on the Board of Elections bond”.

Security experts have repeatedly stated that Dominion ImageCast Evolution (ICE) voting machines contain a security flaw which renders audits useless, since the machine has the ability to print additional votes on ballots.

Currently, the Westchester County Board of Elections has over 1,400 perfectly acceptable machines in inventory which were used to run the 2019 election - when all polling locations were open. During the pandemic less sites are open, so there is no need for more machines. Additionally, the County can not afford this expenditure in light of a deficit that could run as high as $250 million due to COVID-19. Further, changing voting machines in the middle of a presidential election is a prescription for disaster - just look at the mess in Georgia when that state adopted new voting machines this June.

Please make a call to your County Legislator today and tell them to VOTE NO on buying dangerous and hackable ICE voting machines.
