Fair and impartial laws are one of the foundations of democracy. Yet today here in Oregon, certain anti-immigrant hate groups are trying to repeal the sanctuary state law through Measure 105.

If Measure 105 passes, local police could stop, detain or interrogate someone simply under the suspicion of being an undocumented immigrant -- opening the door to civil rights violations and racial profiling of Oregonians. In addition, when local law enforcement agencies take on the work of federal immigration officers it diminishes the trust community groups have in their police departments.

A strong democracy requires protecting everyone’s constitutional rights and ensuring our laws are fair and impartial. Help us keep Oregon safe for everyone -- and pledge to vote NO on Measure 105.
