Take Action: Advocate in Your Community for Vote By Mail in New York
There’s an exciting new program that could be heading to New York voters soon – The New York Early Mail Voter Act passed the state legislature in June and creates New York’s first ever Vote By Mail system. This bill is huge. Allowing New Yorkers to choose to cast their ballots through the mail is guaranteed to increase voter turnout, especially in historically disenfranchised populations.
Although Vote By Mail would make an enormous difference in New Yorkers' ability to cast their ballots, we're still waiting on Governor Hochul to sign this bill into law. We need New Yorkers across the state to take action and put the pressure on the Governor to encourage her signature. Use this form to let us know how you can take action in your community and be an advocate for Vote By Mail. Our organizer will be in touch with you soon to give you all the tools you'll need!
