Tell your NYC Councilmember: Say NO to Frank Seddio

There’s a new nomination for the Brooklyn Democratic Commissioner at the NYC Board of Elections – Frank Seddio – and we have major concerns for New York voters.

Commissioners overseeing our elections must be well qualified, properly vetted, and free of conflicts of interest. Unfortunately, Seddio, former chair of the Brooklyn Democratic Party, misses the mark.

His history as Chair of the Brooklyn Democratic Party creates a conflict of interest. Plus, his extensive record of financial shadiness, ethics violations, and corruption scandals makes him simply unfit to serve.

Take action by calling your councilmember and tell them to oppose the nomination of Frank Seddio.

1. Find your councilmember and their phone number here.

2. Give them a call! If you're not sure what to say, here's a script you can use:

“Hello, my name is [NAME] and I’m calling to ask [COUNCIL MEMBER’S NAME] to oppose the nomination of Frank Seddio to the NYC Board of Elections. Does the Council Member have a position on this nomination?

[IF NOT, or NO or supports nomination]

Commissioners must be committed to working on behalf of all voters, and Seddio’s history as the former Brooklyn Democratic Party Chair creates a conflict of interest. Plus, I have major concerns about his extensive history with scandals, corruptions, and ethics violations.

New York voters deserve better. Please let the councilmember know that as their constituent and as a voter, I urge them to oppose Frank Seddio’s nomination. Thank you.”

[IF YES, they oppose]

I’m glad to hear that. Commissioners must be committed to working on behalf of all voters, and Seddio’s history as the former Brooklyn Democratic Party Chair creates a conflict of interest, to say nothing of his extensive history with scandals, corruptions, and ethics violations.

As a constituent and a voter, I’m pleased that my councilmember recognizes that New York voters deserve better. Please convey my gratitude to the councilmember.

3. Log your call using the form on this page to let us know how it went!

Thank you for taking action! Can you share this page via email or social media to your friends and family members in Brooklyn so the City Council hears from as many Brooklynites as possible?
