Loeffler and Perdue: Stop putting election workers in danger

Senator Kelly Loeffler and Senator David Perdue

Georgia’s election workers worked tirelessly to ensure a record number of voters could participate in this year’s election. But rather than being celebrated for their hard work, they’re facing a barrage of death threats, intimidation, and harassment.

That’s because political leaders, including Senator Loeffler and Senator Perdue, are fanning the flames of conspiracy theories, spreading violent rhetoric, and putting election workers in danger. It’s unacceptable, and it must end immediately.

ADD MY NAME: Senator Loeffler and Senator Perdue must step up and take responsibility for their rhetoric -- otherwise, election officials will continue to face mounting threats to their safety.

Our election officials are why our democracy works, and their contributions in this past election were invaluable. But they’re facing considerable danger as a result of Senator Loeffler and Senator Perdue’s inflammatory, baseless allegations about the integrity of our elections. Our Senators must step up and act like leaders by speaking out against the threats election officials are grappling with, and apologizing for the effect their rhetoric has had.
