Save Net Neutrality!
U.S. Congress
In our 21st century democracy, everyone needs access to a free and open internet. Because the internet is useful to more than just the businesses that profit from it -- it also serves the everyday Americans who rely on it for news and information and who use it to organize, create, and communicate.
But last year, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) repealed vital Net Neutrality protections. Net Neutrality is the baseline principle of equal treatment online, and without it, huge companies like Verizon and Comcast can intentionally block, slow down, or charge money to allow access to specific websites and online content.
To ensure that every voice can be heard, we can’t permit the internet to be controlled or dominated by any individuals, groups, or organizations who can drown out smaller or less powerful voices. That’s why we must restore the FCC’s Net Neutrality rules and their guarantee of a free and open internet for everyone.

Without Net Neutrality rules, Big Cable companies will have near unlimited control of what we can say and do on the internet. Our democracy only thrives with a free and open exchange of ideas, and we cannot allow a few self-interested corporations to control this resource.
