Say No to Corporate PAC Donations
Illinois Congressional Delegation
It is no secret that in America, an unprecedented amount of money is spent during election cycles - this money can come from individuals, corporations, interest groups, and more. In recent years, more and more candidates have begun to openly refuse dark money and donations from Corporate PACs - in fact, several 2020 presidential candidates openly refused dark money and corporate spending and relied solely on grassroots support and small-dollar donations, indicating an upward trend in this strategy heading into the 2022 cycle.
If we want our elected officials to truly represent their constituent's interests, the first step towards fighting big money is simple - it is time to refuse donations from Corporate PACs. Even though these PACs must abide by FEC spending limits, this spending plays a very influential role in our politics. Elected officials should be working in the interests of their constituents, not beholden to corporate interests.
Join us as we call on elected officials in Washington to reject Corporate PAC money and support publicly-funded elections to return the power to We The People.

We urge you to adopt a policy to refuse Corporate PAC donations in future campaigns. By committing to this policy, it would help increase voter's trust in the electoral system and give power back to the people.
For far too long, wealthy and corporate interests have used their money to amplify their own politics and influence the results far more than their single vote ever could. But with campaign finance reform, we can honor that fundamental principle of our democracy that all citizens should have an equal say in who represents us.
Please adopt this much-needed reform. Thank you.
