Tell Congress: Treat the "DOGE" commission like the joke it is

Donald Trump just tasked two billionaires, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, with slashing crucial government programs – possibly without any oversight or accountability.

Musk and Ramaswamy will oversee Trump’s so-called “Department of Government Efficiency” – which they hope to use to cut trillions of dollars away from our schools, our healthcare, and our communities. [1] Now, Trump aides are pushing dubious legal theories that’d let them bypass Congress to get it done. [2]

The Constitution is clear: Congress sets the budget – not the president, and certainly not Musk and Ramaswamy’s fake “DOGE” commission. It’s time for Congress to assert its constitutional authority, side with We The People over these two billionaires, and reject this absurd power grab.
