Tell Governor Pillen: Restore voting rights for thousands of Nebraskans!

Governor Pillen

We need your help in the fight to restore voting rights in Nebraska.

LB20 – a critical piece of legislation that would restore the right to vote to thousands of Nebraskans who have completed their felony sentences – will likely pass in the legislature soon, and we need to make sure Governor Pillen signs it into law.

Currently, over 7,000 people are unable to vote in Nebraska because of an arbitrary 2-year waiting period to have their voting rights restored. These are tax-paying members of our community who have been denied the ability to have a say in who represents them. That’s unacceptable.

Join us in calling on the Governor to sign LB20 and restore voting rights for thousands of Nebraskans by signing our petition today >>>

LB20 is a critical piece of legislation that would restore the right to vote to thousands of Nebraskans who have completed their felony sentences.

As it stands, even after they’ve served their time, thousands of Nebraskans remain unable to vote until two years after the full completion of a felony sentence. LB20 removes the two-year waiting period and restores voting rights immediately at the end of their sentence.

By getting rid of the arbitrary waiting period, we'd be giving thousands of Cornhuskers the chance to finally have their voices heard at the ballot box.

Governor, enacting this bill is critical to building a more just and inclusive democracy in our state. Please sign LB20 into law immediately once it lands on your desk and restore voting rights for thousands of Nebraskans.
