We need to put an end to gerrymandering in Ohio
Ohio General Assembly and Ohio Redistricting Commission

Ohioans have felt the consequences of gerrymandering every day for the past ten years -- no fair representation, no meaningful choice at the polls, limited accountability, and increasing extremism at the Ohio Statehouse. But now, we have a once-in-a-decade opportunity to change that.
At the end of this year, we’ll have new congressional districts (drawn by the General Assembly) and state legislative districts (drawn by the Ohio Redistricting Commission). And these mapmakers have an important decision in front of them.
Will they draw districts that are fair, equitable, and live up to the anti-gerrymandering reforms we’ve passed since the last time we redrew our voting districts? Or, will they manipulate district lines to keep themselves and their party in power, like they did in 2011?
We need to put an end to gerrymandering in Ohio. Add your name to demand that the General Assembly and Ohio Redistricting Commission’s redistricting process be transparent, impartial and fair.

Here in Ohio, our elections should represent the will of the people, not partisan interests. But our lawmakers have a history of manipulating our electoral maps to protect their own political power. State lawmakers in the General Assembly and Redistricting Commission must commit to counting everyone equally, playing by the rules, and having a transparent redistricting process this year -- so that our government is truly of, by, and for the people.
