Colorado Common Cause is taking legal action to hold Trump accountable for January 6th – by urging our state’s Supreme Court to remove him from the ballot under the 14th Amendment.

Barring a former president from the ballot would be an unprecedented move – but one that is necessary after he showed us he’s willing to destroy the very foundation of our democracy in order to cling to power.

After the Civil War, we wrote into our Constitution that office holders who had "engaged in insurrection" against the United States should never be allowed to hold office again.
