Log Your Call: Tell RI's Senators to OPPOSE the anti-voter SAVE Act!

Note: Senators are experiencing a massive volume of calls right now on this issue, a sign our advocacy is working! So if your first call doesn't go through, try again later or leave a voicemail - it will count!

The U.S. House of Representatives passed the anti-voter SAVE Act. If enacted into law, voter registration as we know it will end. Disproportionately burdened populations will include military voters, tribal voters, rural voters, survivors of natural disasters, and the tens of millions of married women in America who have changed their names.

Senator Jack Reed and Senator Sheldon Whitehouse must vocally oppose the SAVE Act. Moreover, they must use their considerable influence in the Senate to urge their colleagues to vote NO on the SAVE Act.

Instructions:

Call both of Rhode Island's senators and tell them to stop the SAVE Act from passing in the Senate. Then, fill out the short form and let us know how your call went!
  • Call Senator Reed: (202) 224-4642
  • Call Senator Whitehouse: (202) 224-2921

Suggested Script:

"My name is ____ and I'm one of your constituents from [CITY/TOWN].

I urge you to strongly oppose the anti-voter “SAVE” Act because it would make voting more difficult for millions of eligible voters and disproportionately burden communities of color, the working class, and the tens of millions of American women who have changed their names.

Please vocally reject this legislation and urge your colleagues in the Senate to do the same. Thank you for standing up for Rhode Island voters and voters across the country."
