The 2024 New York legislature is officially back in session, and it’s a busy one. At Common Cause New York, we’re working hard to make sure our representatives have their priorities straight.

As we approach so many critical elections this year, there’s no time to waste in passing bills that protect the democratic process and the voting rights of every New Yorker.

That's why we're working to pass a package of bills ASAP that hold lying candidates accountable, allow trained poll monitors permission to volunteer inside poll sites, and more. But we need your help.

We’re setting up grassroots lobbying meetings across the state so you and other Common Cause New York activists can meet with your Assemblymembers and share your support for our legislation and urge them to act to protect election integrity.

If we can count on you to join us, let us know which times are best for you. Every member of the legislature is up for re-election this year, so that means you have extra influence - they want to hear what their constituents care about!
