KIMMEL CANCELLED: Turn Off Disney

The Walt Disney Company

ABC and its parent company Disney have cancelled Jimmy Kimmel’s show following threats from Trump’s FCC chair.

Trump is, bit by bit, demolishing our free press and our free speech: threatening to jail peaceful protesters, tearing down public media like PBS and NPR, suing independent outlets into silence, and trying to coerce corporate media giants into submission.

When a democracy turns into a dictatorship, it isn’t just because one man wants power.

It’s because everyone else lets him take it. When an aspiring authoritarian is trying to seize control, everyone else – companies, universities, and the rest of the government – has to decide whether they’ll go along to preserve their short-term interests, or resist.

We’re in one of those make-or-break moments right now.

That's why we're announcing our Turn Off Disney campaign – demanding they reinstate Kimmel’s show and vow to fight back against Trump’s threats instead of caving to them. You can join by doing any of the following:

  • Stop watching ABC, including your local network.

  • Stop watching their cable channels like ESPN, FX, Freeform, and Disney Channel.

  • Cancel Disney streaming services like Hulu, Disney+, & ESPN+, and tell them why.

  • Use social media to tell Disney to stop doing Trump’s bidding.

  • Don’t visit Disneyland, Disneyworld, or any other Disney parks.

By voting with our pocketbooks and remote controls, we can tell Disney and ABC that the customers they rely on are demanding they defend our First Amendment – not help Trump chip away at it.

This is one thing you can do – right here and right now – to resist Trump’s dreams of dictatorship. Add your name today to join the Turn Off Disney campaign >>
