Protect our Constitution: Reject & rescind calls for an Article V Convention
State legislators
Under Article V of the U.S. Constitution, Congress is required to hold a constitutional convention if two-thirds of state legislatures call for one. And right now, we’re just a handful of states away.
There are NO rules for this type of convention in the Constitution. That means the delegates could be unelected and totally unaccountable – and once the convention began, they could shred our First Amendment protections, gut environmental regulations, and roll back civil rights advances.
Far-right groups are trying to get this done behind closed doors and out of the public eye. But Common Cause is shining a spotlight on their sinister efforts in state after state – and so far, we have successfully rolled back calls for an Article V Convention in Montana, Colorado, New Hampshire, Delaware, and more.
We need to show our lawmakers that we’re paying attention – and that we won’t let them gamble with our rights. Add your name now to defend our Constitution.

We the People will not allow unelected, unaccountable delegates to write their agenda into our Constitution. Our state lawmakers must rescind all calls for an Article V Convention.
