BLOCK Trump's taxpayer-funded bribe

U.S. Congress

Trump is reportedly spending $1 billion of your money to upgrade the $400 million luxury jet bribe he got from Qatar. [1]

Trump has even floated the idea of keeping the plane at his presidential library after he leaves office [2] – and blocking a blatantly corrupt move like that should be the bare minimum for Congress. But instead Republicans on the Senate Appropriations Committee just unanimously refused to do so. [3]

This should be a no-brainer for Congress: Don’t let Trump violate the Constitution and steal a government plane. But apparently that’s too much to ask of our elected representatives.

This is about more than just the plane. It’s a perfect illustration of this administration’s lawlessness – and Congress’s inaction:

  • Trump accepted this $400 million jet from Qatar – blatantly violating the Constitution’s Emoluments Clause, which bans presidents from accepting foreign gifts without congressional approval. [4]

  • Attorney General Pam Bondi – who made $115,000/month lobbying for Qatar – rubber-stamped the deal. [5]

  • Now, they’re trying to hide the cost from the public – secretly transferring nearly $1 billion in taxpayer funds to retrofit the jet. [6]

  • We demanded Congress block this corrupt deal – but instead every Republican on the Senate Appropriations Committee voted to let Trump keep the plane. [7]

The absolute least Congress can do is block Trump from keeping this billion-dollar bribe. Demand they act now >>

Trump, Bondi, and their enablers in Congress are putting self-enrichment ahead of public service – all while pretending they’re working for the people.

They’re gutting healthcare, slashing food assistance, and telling working people there’s no money to help us – but plenty for them and their billionaire friends.

We demand Congress do the bare minimum and block Trump from keeping this $1 billion vanity plane.
