Far-right extremists are pushing a plan to force teachers to spread Donald Trump’s debunked conspiracy theories about the 2020 elections which fueled voter suppression efforts across the country and incited the deadly January 6th attack. [1]
The Heritage Foundation, the far-right think tank behind Project 2025, wrote this outrageous curriculum for Oklahoma – and they want it in every classroom in the country.
That’s right. Instead of improving civics education in schools, these extremists are using it to push their anti-democracy agenda.
Right now, parents, teachers, Democrats, and even Republicans in deep-red Oklahoma are speaking out because they don’t want their kids used as pawns in MAGA’s war on the truth.
Let’s join them and tell Oklahoma’s leaders and education officials: STOP forcing teachers to lie to students – and instead support strong, fair civics education.
