We need a REAL Supreme Court code of conduct
U.S. Congress
The Supreme Court has finally adopted a code of conduct after public outcry over Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito accepting lavish gifts and luxury vacations from GOP megadonors.
The bad news: it isn’t binding or enforceable in any way – meaning it likely wouldn’t have prevented these major scandals in the first place!
While this falls well short of the strong reform we need, it’s the clearest sign yet that our action is working and they’re feeling the pressure. This is their attempt to solve the crisis of confidence, but the truth is a code that isn't enforceable won't be able to do that.
We must make it clear: the half-measure the Court is proposing is no substitute for binding, enforceable congressional action.
If you agree the highest court in the land should be held to the highest ethical standards, sign our petition urging Congress to pass a stronger, binding code of conduct.

The Supreme Court’s new “code of conduct” falls short of what we need. We demand REAL, enforceable ethics standards now.
Congress must pass the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal, and Transparency Act and create the strongest possible code of conduct for our highest court.
